There is a specific kind of beauty in what thrives without our help. I often spot the Trumpet Vine in the most undisturbed corners of the world, sturdy, native, and fiercely resistant. It doesn't ask for permission to grow; it simply climbs until it reaches the heights we rarely look toward.

I love painting these flowers because they belong to the wild, not to us. While their blooms often sit too high for a human to touch, they are perfectly positioned for the hummingbird. I like to think of these high-reaching vines as a secret fueling station, a safe place of recovery and energy for the birds on their long journeys.

This piece is a reflection on the balance and inherent wisdom of nature. It reminds me that the most beautiful things don't require our handling or interference to succeed. They flourish in the quiet, undisturbed spaces, offering a sanctuary to those who know exactly where to look.

This 36” x 12” composition is an elegant solution for narrow spaces, capturing the harmony between light, color, and flight.
