Passing Through is a memory taking physical form. From courtyards and patios that the artists remembers and cherishes from her life in Mexico, fresh flowers of the spring, the hummingbirds arriving in their never ending journeys of migration, leaving us teachings and reflections every time they pass through our homes. 

Where are they going? Where do they come from? We rarely stop and wonder, nonetheless we set the feeders up, we make sure the flowers are blooming for their nourishment. That is such a natural human behavior of neighborly love. 
 
And the tile frame is the way the artists brings the culture and the vibrancy of her roots to other places. A portable way to bring with you, something so set, as tiles in a wall, or on the steps, on benches, etc. If you have travelled in europe, and latin america, you know the beauty and crafmanship is everywhere. They survive the passing of time like no other decorated material,  and in this era of moving so much, chasing our dreams, having this on a canvas that you can bring along to your new chapters, is a wonderful way to feel more rooted and closer to home.
