"Nonna" is a one of a kind, original painting by artist Cecilia Goett
 
Note from the artist: My grandmother used to have parakeets in her courtyard when I was younger. Growing up, it was something very unique about her home that I will always remember. As she reaches old age, I can't help but try to freeze time, or at least pretend to do so by capturing all the memories I have of her home and her essence while she is still with us. The first painting I made of parakeets I did so picturing her as one of them, amongst bougainvillea, and with another blue parakeet signifying my grandpa who already passed. She has that painting hanging in her room now.
 
This 16"x16" work is inspired in that Parakeet depicting her, the sorrounding is a little pink to aura. It is quite personal and I feel very close to her when I am painting this.
